Delegate Donald McEachin was one of my earliest and most ardent supporters
during my campaign for U.S. Senate. He stood by me and defended me against
misleading attacks during the Democratic primary. And in the race against George
Allen, he hit the campaign trail and helped carry us to victory on Election
Day.
Donald is challenging Benny Lambert (Lambert endorsed George Allen in last
fall's Senate campaign) in the Democratic primary in Virginia's 9th Senate
district.

In 2005, David Poisson faced a well-financed incumbent in a traditionally
Republican area. As with my own race, he pursued a campagin that focused on
positive messages and strong intellectual themes.
Now David faces a tough reelection in Virginia's 32nd House district, and we
need to make sure he stays in the Virginia House of Delegates. We need David to
continue to focus on the needs of the citizens of Loudoun County and continuing his
career-long dedication on improving the education of our children.

Louisiana Senator Mary Landrieu is running for her third term in the U.S.
Senate in 2008. In the aftermath of the devastation caused by Hurricanes
Katrina and Rita, Senator Landrieu has fought to make sure that the federal
government lives up to its commitments to the people of her state -- and that
fight continues. With hundreds of thousands of lives affected, and with tens of
thousands of homes and businesses still to be rebuilt, the people of Louisiana
still need support -- and they have no greater advocate than Mary Landrieu.
Given the changing demographics of the state, and the displacement of so many
New Orleans residents who still have not been able to return, it's clear that
Senator Landrieu will face a tough re-election battle. But Mary Landrieu has
never backed down from a fight -- and I respect that, as I hope Born Fighting
PAC does as well.

As some of you know, South Dakota Senator Tim Johnson suffered a brain
hemorrhage in December. He is now recovering, and intends to run for
re-election. He's fighting to regain his full health, and I would like to help
him gain the resources he needs for his reelection campaign when he is ready to
work again.
Senator Johnson is one of the few members of Congress with a son or
daughter (in his case a son) who has served in Iraq. He comes from a small
rural state, where working families struggle to make ends meet on a daily basis.
His work in Congress demonstrates that Tim knows what it means to fight from the
bottom up.
